Deontay Wilder says Tyson Fury fight will determine No.1 heavyweight in clear dig at Anthony Joshua

DEONTAY WILDER claimed the winner between him and Fury will determine the No1 heavyweight on the planet – not Anthony Joshua.

Wilder, 33, faces Fury, 30, on December 1, at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles as he defends his WBC world heavyweight title.

Joshua, 30, and Wilder have been circling each other for some time now, however, a deal between the two camps could not be agreed.

This led Wilder, unbeaten in 40 fights with 39 knockouts, to turn his attention to another unbeaten Brit in Fury, who is also undefeated in his 27 pro bouts.

And Wilder thinks the winner between him and the ‘Gypsy King’ will decide the No1 heavyweight in the world – despite Joshua owning the WBA, IBF and WBO world titles.

Wilder said: “In my true honest opinion, I feel whoever wins this can call themselves the best heavyweight champion in the world.
