Prema’s Nyck de Vries took his second F2 pole position of the season with a superb lap at the Russian GP in Sochi.

The McLaren junior was over two tenths clear of the rest of the field. Underling his performance, the Dutch driver was also 1.6 seconds quicker than his team-mate Sean Gelael.

2019 McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris got his Carlin onto the front row right at the end of the session, demoting championship rival George Russell to third.
