DAVID LUIZ slammed sloppy Chelsea stars after losing at Tottenham and warned: It cannot happen again.
The Blues defender had a stinker as his side went 2-0 down in 16 minutes on the way to a 3-1 defeat at Wembley on Saturday.
Luiz, at fault for all the goals, said: “We know starts are very important and we have to be ready. This cannot happen again.
“We knew Spurs are a team that presses with intensity and they were better than us. We paid for it in the first half.”
Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard added: “We didn’t play a good game and everybody could see that.
“We started the game very badly and conceded two goals early. Against this kind of team, when you are 2-0 down, it is hard to come back.

“We tried but it was not enough.”
It was Chelsea’s first defeat of the season under Maurizio Sarri and saw Tottenham leapfrog them in the table.
Luiz, 31, said: “We’d done great this season until this. It was not a great night for us.
“We didn’t play well, Tottenham played really well. We have to have humility to recognise that and say they controlled the game.

“It was not good. Not like we’d been doing all this season.
“All the aspects — offensively, defensively, we didn’t have possession, we didn’t create a lot.
“We were not in the game, that’s why we lost.”
Sarri was seething but Luiz insisted: “He’s been many times angrier when we’ve won. It’s true. Nobody is happy.
“Of course the coach is not happy. He always tries to do his best for us and we do our best for him.
“He’s not happy like every player is not happy.”
