Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to double size of Tel Aviv home amid UK visa issues

CHELSEA owner Roman Abramovich looks set to double the size of his Tel Aviv home amid UK visa issues.

The Russian billionaire bought the Varsano Hotel for £17.1million in 2015, with a vision to transform it into his very own Israeli home.

But the Chelsea owner is now plotting a major upgrade, considering adding a massive new, two-storey wing to the 1,500-square-metre complex.

Abramovich bought the hotel, a listed 19th century building, from Yaron Varsano – the husband of Wonder Woman star Gal Dadot.

According to reports in Israel, the mega-rich Blues chief is going to extend the property into an empty lot of land.

That will double the total bedroom tally from six to 12, while adding an inner courtyard and even underground car park.

The hotel-turned-home already boasted a lobby, two studios and three separate villas all on the complex.

Abramovich has spent most of the past 15 years splitting his time between England and Russia.

However, due to political tensions between the two countries, the Chelsea owner has NOT had his visa renewed.

In fact, Abramovich has not attended a Blues game since April, officially emigrating to Israel in May – now taking the opportunity to improve his new No1 pad.
