But Lukaku insists he and Scholes shake hands as if "everything is normal" before the former midfielder goes on TV as a pundit.
Speaking about the Belgian, Scholes recently stated: "I'm just not sure you are ever going to win the league with a goal scorer like him.
"I don't think his play outside of the box is good enough."
And back in February he said the 6ft 2ins, 14st frontman was "weak".

BT Sport3 Paul Scholes has been a constant critic of the Man Utd striker
What has Scholes said about Lukaku?
The legendary Manchester United midfielder has been scating in his criticism of the Belgian. Here are some of his most memorable quotes.
On United's changing of Prem success with Lukaku: "I'm not sure you are ever going to win the league with a goal scorer like him.
"I don't think hisplay outside of the box is good enough."
On his physicality: "Lukaku has to be better. When you play counter-attacking football, the ball has got to stick.
"He was so weak. You've got to be strong, you've got to get hold of the ball.
"You've got to get your touch right and bring players in. Most of the time, he's given the ball away."
But in an interview with Bleacher Report, Lukaku totally dismissed everything Scholes has to say.
Lukaku said: "I don't really respond to him.
"You know, when I see him before the TV, he still shakes my hand and then do like everything is normal, so…"
And in response to negative talk of his body and speed, Lukaku was equally bullish.
