Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand sparks ‘impromptu street parade’ on walk in Nigeria

RIO FERDINAND sparked a street parade from adoring fans during the Manchester United legend's trip to Nigeria.

The former England international has teamed up with Guiness Nigeria, as he scours the nation to find and celebrate Nigerian supporters that are 'Made of More'.

Ferdinand, 40, touched down in Lagos on Thursday, where he has been taking part in a series of events and activities.

And as he made his way through the streets earlier today, the ex-West Ham ace shared a video on Twitter of the jubilant fans.

He captioned the post: "Walking the streets in Nigeria… unreal scenes! Blessed #FansMadeOfMore #Nigeria."

During his visit, Ferdinand has visited the National Stadium and the Guinness Flavour Rooms.

Speaking of his visit, Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria Baker Magunda said: "Guinness is a bold beer for extraordinary people.

Ferdinand recently slammed Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho after the Special One publicly criticised members of his squad.

While he also lifted the lid on how Sir Alex Ferguson brutally axed Roy Keane in 2005.
