Mark Hughes has been sacked as Southampton manager after 10 matches without a victory in the Premier League.

The Welshman’s final match in charge was Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Manchester United at St. Mary’s which left the club still without a home victory this season and languishing in the relegation zone on nine points after 14 games.

Assistant manager Mark Bowen and assistant coach Eddie Niedzwiecki have also left the club with immediate effect.
