AMIR KHAN claims Anthony Joshua is ‘scared’ to fight Deontay Wilder and that is why the undisputed world heavyweight title clash has failed to materialise.
Joshua, 30, owns the WBA, IBF and WBO titles while Wilder, 33, reigns as the WBC champion, meaning a fight between the pair would crown an undisputed heavyweight champion.

Talks between the two camps exhausted over the summer with the champions going their separate ways.
Joshua would fight and beat Alexander Povetkin in September, while Wilder turned his attention to another unbeaten Brit in Tyson Fury, 30.
Wilder and Fury fought to a controversial split decision draw last weekend which saw the American hold onto his title.
Speaking to Express Sport, former unified light-welterweight world champion Khan, 31, said he believes Joshua fears Wilder, who has 39 knockout’s in 41 fights.

Khan said: “One thing about fighters, the fight would have happened if [Joshua] wasn’t scared of him. Maybe he has a little bit of fear in him – that's why the fight never happened.
“I think maybe they’ll both take an easier fight in between.
“Because sometimes what we see is two hard fights on the trot can take a lot out of a fighter.
“Get the confidence back, take an easy fight, little work, go back to the hard fight again.

“As I’ve been told by many trainers, many experienced trainers – they say: ‘Never jump into a hard fight again.’”
Despite Khan’s claim both Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn expressed their interest in a fight with either Wilder or Fury.
Joshua tweeted: “What took this fool (Wilder) so long? Like we ain’t been interested?
“Anyway well done Fury! they wanted to get you because they assumed you was finished!”
