Anthony Joshua steps up gym sessions in US ahead of April return and vows ‘next year is going to be big’

UNIFIED HEAVYWEIGHT world champion Anthony Joshua is training in the United States as he promises for a big 2019.

The current WBA, IBF and WBO world champion showed off his strength and conditioning training in Portland, Oregon on Instagram.

In one of his Instagram stories, he wrote: “Big plans, 2019/2020.”

While he also captioned a post: "Relaxing but not taking too much time out. Next year is going to be big!"

Joshua, 30, is already booked to fight again at Wembley on April 13, next year – but his opponent remains a mystery.

Former Joshua opponent Dillian Whyte, 30, who rematches Dereck Chisora, 34, on December 22, was the suggested name to face AJ on the April 2019 date.
