Damian Lillard scored 15 of his 25 points in the first quarter as the Portland Trail Blazers hammered the hapless Phoenix Suns.
Lillard’s opening outburst ended the game as a contest as the Blazers outscored the visiting Suns 34-9 in the opening 12 minutes.

Lillard opened his account 90 seconds into the game with a three-pointer from way beyond the arc.
He followed that up with a fadeaway baseline jumper, a step-back jump shot from the elbow, another towering three-pointer and a delicious lay-up, hitting each of his first five shots and scoring 12 of Portland’s first 16 points.

With the game well in hand in the second half, Lillard was allowed to rest in the fourth quarter having racked up 25 points, eight assists and five rebounds in just 27 minutes on court.
