Annual Jazz Night showcases students’ rhythm and moves

Under lights, mason jars, floating candles and classy jazz music, students danced for hours in the crisp air on Saturday night in Boren Courtyard at “Jazz Night.”

Delta Omicron and Phi Mu Alpha hosted the third annual evening of live music. Attendees enjoyed live jazz, swing dancing, desserts, punch and music mixed by senior music theory and composition major Matt Taylor, also known as DJ Roomba.

The music sorority and fraternity have seen attendance grow as they have extended the welcome to the whole campus.

“Jazz Night allowed you to sit and talk with friends, grab a few friends to swing dance with and then end with dancing to DJ Roomba,” senior family studies major Danielle Spears said.
