The sophomore class gathered together Thursday night to chow down on s’mores and listen to the music of David Wilhoite, a sophomore sports medicine major, and Bonnie Grace Tillman, a sophomore business major.
Katie Tooker, sophomore class president and family studies major, said she was happy with the event’s turnout.
“I think it’s a great event,” Tooker said.
“We wanted to showcase some sophomores, so we picked David Wilhoite and Bonnie Grace Tillman.”
Students got to sip on hot chocolate and roast marshmallows as the talked and laughed with each other.
Sophomore theatre major Gracie Dod loved the event.
“The s’mores were really delicious,” Dod said. “I hadn’t had any in a while and they were really yummy!”
Some students are already thinking about next year’s event. Shannon Evins, a sophomore nutrition major said, “It had a great ambiance. I think I’ll sneak in next year!”
