Apple Arcade, a CNET Editors’ Choice award pick, offers hundreds of games you can play for just $5 a month (£5, AU$8). The service has familiar and classic games, as well as exclusive titles. You can find many of these games in the App Store, but there they have paywalls and ads that might hinder your gaming experience. With an Apple Arcade subscription, you can play each game without paywalls and ads.

This puzzle game has you moving cats and cushions around until each furry friend has found their ideal sleeping spot. I’m not sure how you move the cats around without them getting upset and giving you side-eye or taking a swipe at you, but I’m willing to find out.
Kingdoms: Merge and Build

This game combines puzzles, kingdom-building and adventure. You and your friends are tasked with rebuilding a ruined kingdom and saving its people by constructing and renovating buildings, completing quests and figuring out what happened to the previous king.

This minimalist, 2D puzzle game is bound to give you a sense of satisfaction — and maybe slight frustration. It combines elements of chess, Tetris and match-three games to give you a unique challenge each time you play.
Samba de Amigo: Party-To-Go

This rhythm action game is a sequel to the classic series Samba de Amigo. In this game, your character shakes maracas to the beat of more than 40 popular songs, including three Apple Arcade exclusive tracks from Lady Gaga, PSY and Fritz and the Tantrums.
